EASTON, Pa. — Thanksgiving isn't here yet, but Easton's State Theatre already has plans for how to observe St. Patrick's Day.
Celtic Woman, an all-female Irish musical ensemble that has released 28 albums and been nominated for a Grammy Award, will perform at the venue at 7:30 p.m. March 19, it was announced.
That's just two days (and the first weekend day) after St. Patrick's Day.

The group will be joined by a band, Irish dancers and traditional Celtic instruments, according to a release.
Celtic Woman started in 2004, when David Downes, musical director for the popular Irish dance stage show "Riverdance" recruited five Irish women performers to sing a show of traditional Celtic and modern songs in Dublin.
Soaring success
The show's popularity soared when it aired multiple times on PBS, and the group released its self-titled debut album that year and started touring internationally.
Its second album, 2006's "A Christmas Celebration," hit No. 5 on Billboard's Holiday Albums chart, topped the World Albums chart and achieved platinum record sales.
And its third album, "A New Journey," also topped the World Music chart and crossed over to No. 4 on the overall Billboard Albums chart. It also achieved gold record sales.
Its 2010 album "Songs From the Heart" also broke Billboard's Top 10, reaching No. 9, and also topped the World Albums chart.
The group's latest album, "Nollaig: A Christmas Journey," was released in September.
Over the group's history, it has had 20 women move through its four-member lineup. No original members remain, but Tara McNeill has been with the group since 2016 and Megan Walsh since 2018.
